Rachel McAdams confirms she is joining Marvel’s Doctor unusual

Rachel McAdams is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks to her co-starring role in Doctor unusual. Clea seems the most likely candidate given her links to Dormammu (a villain it’s thought will be played by Hannibal’s Mads Mikkelsen), but it could be some time before we find out for sure. “CONFIRMED: Rachel McAdams tells TheWrap at Toronto that she will star opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel’s DOCTOR odd”, tweeted Jeff Schneider. So she’s in the film, but we don’t know what role she actually has other than the female lead. In the comic books, she becomes the pupil and then lover of odd after he takes on the title of Sorcerer Supreme. A spokesperson for Marvel declined to comment to Digital Spy.

Scheduled to hit theaters November 4, 2016, Doctor odd is scripted by Jon Spaihts and directed by Scott Derrickson.

“The way that “Thor, ‘ “Avengers” and now certainly ‘Guardians of the Galaxy” tap into that cosmic side, it will be great to go into the world of Doctor unusual and the supernatural realm”, Feige added. This character would also make sense in the film, as Blessing is connected to Baron Mordo, Strange’s biggest nemesis, who will be portrayed by actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Marvel only just found its Wasp earlier this year in “Ant-Man“, but now the studio has snagged itself a Queen Bee for its next movie, “Doctor Strange” – specifically, Regina effing George herself.
