‘Jungle Book’ Teaser Trailer Is Wildly Entertaining
Currently, there are two “Jungle Book” adaptations in the works, and the trailer for Disney’s live action version launched recently. Newcomer Neel Sethi portrays the young Mowgli.
Meanwhile, Warner Brothers will also be sharing its own spin on the story in 2017 with Jungle Book: Origins, which is set to star the voices of Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett.
“The Jungle Book” live-action is darker and mysterious.
Time will tell, but with a cast that includes Christopher Walken, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, and Ben Kingsley, it seems to be in good hands. Jon talked about bringing the classic animated film to life. Entertainment Weekly says it “feels much less Disney, much more James Cameron”, referring to Avatar-like motion-capture techniques.
One of the questions was how they managed to make the animals realistic while making them talk like characters. “Anim reference was drawn from performances and mocap of actors”.
The Jungle Book is a live-action remake of the 1967 animation film, which was based on the Rudyard Kipling tale, and marks the return of Jon Favre au to the director’s chair.
Disney has a release date for the film, set for April 16, 2016.
