Tom Brady endorses Donald Trump
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, right, gestures while warming up on the field as wide receiver Julian Edelman, left, runs nearby during an NFL football practice, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, in Foxborough, Mass.
And while Brady was recently spotted with a red Donald Trump campaign hat in his locker, he wasn’t fully prepared to express support for Trump’s presidential bid until Wednesday, during an interview with reporters. “It would be great”.
Brady told the press: “It was a nice keepsake”.
It sounds like there’s a bromance in the air. “It could be a, yeah, a nice piece of memorabilia he sent me”.
Trump meanwhile had staunchly defended Brady during the “Deflate-gate” saga, which saw the four-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback hit with a four-game suspension before it was overturned by a federal judge.
Unconfirmed reports say Las Vegas has set the over/under for how long it will take Trump to name-drop Brady in Wednesday night’s debate at 2.5 seconds.
Thanks to Donald Trump, Tom Brady might not ever have to answer another question about Deflategate.
So is Brady going to vote for Trump? But that is how he likes it. He does love to have the football player in his corner though.
Same goes for Brady volunteering this information about his hopes and dreams for the American presidency. Trump later tweeted on the social network Twitter that Brady’s endorsement was “a great honor from somebody that knows how to win”.
