Karin Kenzuki announced for Street Fighter 5

Karin started out as a character in the Street Fighter Manga, before becoming a playable character in Alpha 3. First up, fan favorite character Karin is making a comeback in the new title, while the studio is adding a special Capcom Fighters Network social space in which fans can check out their stats, past matches, profiles, and more. A new stage, “Kanzuki Estate” has been introduced alongside Karin.

Karin is the young heiress to the Kanzuki Zaibatsu, a global financial conglomerate that possesses vast wealth and resources. “Her regal and pampered upbringing is what led to her high-maintenance attitude and razor-sharp wit”.

Since then she has appeared in multiple Capcom cross over games. The point of Karin in Street Fighter is to chase her rivals down and trap them in the corner, where she will devastate them with a barrage of close quarters attacks.

Street Fighter V has revealed another member of its roster, and she will humiliate you and laugh in your face. By holding down the buttons, players can charge the move for a split second, giving it better hit and block properties. Known as Kanzuki-Ryu No Kata, it gives her access to a move called Guren Ken. Some of the options available to her after a Guren Ken include a flying throw, an overhead, another flurry of strikes or even a back dash. We’ll let you know if that happens.

Karin was rumored to be included in Street Fighter V earlier this year. A few screenshots showing CFN in action are available at the publisher’s community site and it looks like it could be a great way to analyze your Street Fighter V performance.
