Brady says he’s supporting Trump for president
Apparently, the New England Patriots quarterback has an official hat that totes “Make America Great Again”, which is what the Trumpster has been repeating throughout his campaign.
When asked if he believes the Republican Party favorite would win the election, he responded saying “I hope so, that would be great”. That would be great. But NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell fined the Patriots $1 million and took away two draft picks, including a first-rounder, and suspended Brady four games. “I’m sure of that,” Brady said about Trump winning in 2016. “It could be … a nice piece of memorabilia he sent me”.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady appeared to endorse presidential candidate Donald Trump prior to Wednesday night’s Republican debate.
Tom Brady and Donald Trump have been friends for a while, but until now, their relationship seemed rather one-sided.
The friendship has now lasted for over a decade, and the two used to regularly play golf before Brady’s kids were born. Trump’s been tweeting about Brady since 2012.
“I mean it’s pretty amazing what he’s been able to accomplish”, Brady told WEEI last week.
Brady’s endorsement may have something to do with the support he has received from Trump over the years, especially during the Deflategate scandal. “A great honour from somebody that knows how to win!”
“He’s a good friend”, Brady said.
Previously, the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player has said he’d consider running for public office someday, describing his political leanings as independent.
