AGT: Gary Vider Counts Boob-a-Sippis on ‘America’s Got Talent’
The show’s finale, featuring former Spice Girl Mel B and German supermodel Heidi Klum as judges, will air in the US on September 15 and 16.
Also back this week was the “Dunkin’ Save”, which allowed viewers to vote live to save an act in danger of elimination.
Magician Piff the Magic Dragon’s performance on Tuesday involved a toaster, some card tricks and a quick “trip” to Las Vegas to pick up his dog, Mr. Piffles.
Rock band 3 Shades of Blue; singers Daniella Mass, Alondra Santos, Sharon Irving and Alicia Michilli; and dance troupe Freelusion were sent home. However, their acts are pretty much the same thing every week and to be honest, we have so many musicians on the show already that I think they may get lost in the shuffle. Surprisingly, neither advanced to the finals. We had a couple of really great acts, but the rest were underwhelming. Then, during the quarterfinals, Piff’s irreverent brand of humor had the panel divided, but now all four judges thought his semifinal performance merits him a spot in next week’s finals. Howie advised the magician to simply “stay the course”.
The Professional Regurgitator, Steve Starr, swallowed smoke, followed by liquid soap and water, and produced a huge bubble filled with the smoke. The judges all praised the teen mariachi singer, although Mel did warn her to be careful about song choice if she makes it to the finals.
Gospel singer Sharon Irving was up next, and, as usual, gave a powerful performance that left us speechless.
Performers are trying to keep their hopes alive for the million dollar prize. Bedding odds predictions suggest that Paul Zerdin, the ventriloquist, has the most chances of advancing to the finals. An emotional Novruzov thanked the audience and promised to try his best to convince them they made the right choice.
Uzyer: He may have fallen, but that act is like nothing we have ever seen on the show. i feel really bad for him that the act got messed up and commend the judges for being so supportive.
Judges’ Comments: Mel B said that they stepped up their performance. Mandel noted every joke worked and praised Vider’s timing, pace and character.
With the judges’ vote 2-2, the tiebreaker was the vote of fans and it went to Vider.
The evening also featured season-9 AGT finalists AcroArmy, performing to Little Mix, who sang their hit “Black Magic”.
For now, lets’ just wait to watch which 5 advances to the final level and compete for the finale of “America’s Got Talent“.
