Disney removes Bill Cosby bust from Hollywood Studios
A statue of Bill Cosby has been removed from Walt Disney World in Florida, following the revelation that the comedian bought drugs to give to women he wanted to have sex with.
One particular Change.org petition said it was “prudent” that the park remove the statue in light of the accusations against Cosby.
Ex- supermodel Janice Dickinson, who has accused Cosby of drugging and raping her in the early eighties, responded by calling Goldberg a “stupid woman” who “needs to be fired” from her talk show spot. But actress and Philadelphia native Jill Scott, who had publicly supported Cosby last fall, said she was “completely disgusted” by what he had to say under oath.
She said that while she has remained silent, “Cosby himself has given a rather incoherent interview and used members of his family and others as surrogates to speak for him“. Cosby has repeatedly denied the allegations.
Cosby’s lawyers objected to the release of the incriminating documents, saying it would be “terribly embarrassing” for their client and it would cause the jury to be prejudiced toward him, but the court still made a decision to unseal them.
The LAPD told ABC News it has an open investigation into the Cosby situation and would examine any allegations of sexual assault against Cosby, including cases for which the statute of limitations had expired. Cosby’s lawyers had objected on the grounds that it would embarrass their client.
She says: “He has not been taken to jail or tried on anything”.
“Sadly his own testimony offers PROOF of awful deeds, which is ALL I have ever required to believe the accusations”, she tweeted.
In 2014, Traitz recounted her experience with Cosby on Facebook, describing an encounter that frightened her but didn’t seem to progress further than that.
Also yesterday, Bounce TV, a network aimed at African-Americans, said it will cease airing “Cosby”, the 1996-2000 CBS comedy. Cosby’s admission came in a lawsuit filed by one of dozens of women who have accused the once-celebrated figure of drugging and then sexually assaulting them.
