Northern Colorado shooting task force checking 2 new shootings, increasing reward
The task force investigating a series of four apparently random shootings in northern Colorado earlier this year – two of them fatal – will provide an update on their investigation Thursday.
“To date, there has been no physical or forensic evidence recovered to indicate any of the reported shattered windows are related to the four shootings being investigated by the task force”, Moore said Thursday.
“Task force investigators have followed up on the information you provided, however more information is needed”, a task force news release said.
May 18: John Jocoby was shot and killed as he rode his bike in Windsor. The person was not hurt.
Family of Bill Connole, who was shot and killed in downtown Loveland on June 4, were at the press conference held outside of the Loveland Police Department.
Authorities in northern Colorado are investigating whether shootings at a health care center and elementary school over the weekend are related, but say there is no indication they are connected to four shootings that have left two people dead.
It doesn’t appear any arrests have been made in the shootings.
The task force also continues to monitor other seemingly random shooting incidents in the United States. It also released the sketch of a pickup truck it said is a vehicle of interest to the Loveland shootings based on several interviews and canvasses. The victim in the fourth incident was shot at but not injured, authorities said.
The task force has received anonymous tips from a specific person(s) as recent as August 17, 2015.
Very few injuries were reported during these incidents, however a driver was injured last month when his semi tractor-trailer’s driver side window broke on I-25. Four people were shot or shot at.
