Howard Stern Says Good-bye to ‘America’s Got Talent’ After Four ‘Phenomenal
Howard Stern wrapped up his time as a judge on NBC’s AMERICA’S GOT TALENT last night with an emotional farewell. The actor previously revealed that he’s stepping down from the hosting chair and won’t return for the next season, begging the question: Who should replace him? “I feel really fortunate that I could be the guy responsible for bringing the show to New York”, he said in the video, as he walked the streets greeting fans.
“I’ve had such incredible moments on this show, I really have”, he added in the video, which aired during the 10th season’s finale on Wednesday.
Stern has been serving as a judge on America’s Got Talent since 2012, when he took the place of Piers Morgan.
“You know what? I did the most shocking thing in my career: I was on a family show”, Stern said to one couple. “I guess it is like the performer’s ultimate dream to be able to headline your own show in Las Vegas, and I’m so lucky and I’m so grateful to the American people for giving me this chance”.
The 55-year-old music mogul – who is now head judge on “The X Factor” – has reportedly been signed up to take over from the comedian and talk show host on the next series of the United States talent show following his decision to quit earlier this year.
Cowell, who co-created America’s Got Talent with Ken Warwick and Cécile Frot-Coutaz, will join Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum on the panel. “He would be good at it”.
See his goodbye to the show and love letter to New York City.
