Previous rumours including comments from actor Nolan North seemed to suggest that the game was on its way.

While the slip-up is definitely good news for “The Last of Us” fans, Gabe Newell from Valve has yet to confirm the company’s involvement in the third “Half-Life” game.

The Last of Us DLC, The Last of Us: Left Behind, serving as a prequel to the main storyline, is one of the highest rated DLC packs in PlayStation history.

Given what a meal Josh Scherr made of the slip-up it may even have been an intentional hint as to Naughty Dog’s next game.

The individuality of Naughty Dog’s bleak post-apocalyptic video game has got millions of fans looking forward to a potential The Last of Us 2 release, and it seems like the veteran developer itself is moving closer to officially acknowledging the existence of the most-requested follow-up.
