Ryan Adams’ Cover of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” Will Make Your Day
Adams says his reimagining of 1989 will also come to CD and vinyl “soon”.
As an added bonus, Adams unveiled his take on “Bad Blood ” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, which you can listen to in the player embedded here (ironic, considering ‘Dear Apple Music’). “This is surreal and dreamlike”, she wrote.
It’s hard to improve upon something so many people already consider almost ideal (bye, “Welcome to New York”, you awful blight on an otherwise great album), and if we’re being completely honest, Taylor Swift doesn’t exactly need any more promo than she already has. As for Adam’s reinvention of “Bad Blood“, it definitely sounds little like Swift’s original version.
Adams last posted an update about the album in August and promised a final mix and master would be finished before the end of the month.
For the crossover of die-hard Swifties who also happen to be huge Ryan Adams fans, get ready for a set of covers beyond your – ahem – wildest dreams. Adams was equally complimentary in his confirmation tweet to Swift.
This week, Adams paid tribute to another great songwriter when he performed at Neil Fest with Norah Jones.
