Toyota RAV4 Recalled for Faulty Windshield Wipers
Toyota explained that the windshield wiper links might have corroded after it was exposed to water.
Toyota has announced a recall on some 423,000 of their RAV4 small trucks that were sold from 2009 to 2012.
The recall also includes approximately 2,500 2012-’14 Toyota RAV4 EVs.
Information about the recall hasn’t yet been posted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s recall database, but owners with questions can call Toyota Customer Service at 800-331-4331. “If separation occurs, the windshield wipers could become inoperative, which could reduce driver visibility and increase the risk of a vehicle crash”, the company said in a statement. This might lead to the joints weakening resulting in the wiper separating from the crank arm.
Owners of the involved vehicles will be notified through the mail.
