Capcom Details How to Enter the Street Fighter 5 Beta
Beta redemption keys will be e-mailed from the retailer you pre-ordered at starting on 7/20. Once you have the Beta key, you can immediately head over to PSN to download the Street Fighter V Beta client.
Good news gaming fans as new updates for “Street Fighter 5” have been revealed regarding details on the beta test and new game details at the Anime Expo 2015.
Capcom has rolled out their plans for the Street Fighter V beta for both the PC and the PS4.
Players from North America, specifically those residing in the US as well as in Canada, have several options where they could acquire the beta keys. A beta test for PC is listed as beginning some time in Spring on the game’s Steam page as a pre-purchase offer. Those successful will get an email on July 21.
Visit the Capcom-Unity blog to see which countries apply in each zone. There are no retailer specific campaigns to join the beta for Street Fighter V. For Europe and other EMEA regions you’ll need to sign up through the special European PSN link. Capcom announced the beta at E3, but now they’ve fully outlined how to get into being a Street Fighter V beta tester. Valid registrations before the 15th of July will be in with a chance to gain access, with selected participants informed via email on the 23rd of July of further details.
PlayStation Plus members can apply for Beta access by downloading the “Street Fighter V Closed Beta Test Ticket” at the PlayStation Store from 7/8-7/13. For Asia you’ll have to download a ticket between July 9th and July 14th in various Southeast Asian territories and select users will receive a key on July 21st.
Notifications and access will be provided starting in the middle of July, depending on the territory. That’s a huge boon for Sony when it comes to selling hardware to the dedicated fighting community. One thing to note, though, is that this special access would only be for the PlayStation 4 console.
