Nani joins Fenerbahce for £4.25m
Fenerbahce have confirmed the signing of Nani from Manchester United, with the 28-year-old joining the Turkish club on a three-year contract for a fee of €6 million. I think that there is a big chance to prove myself again. “I want to be succesful”. Clearly moved by the fans’ welcome, he added: “From now, I am sure I made the right decision to come here”. They’re a club that are regularly involved in European football’s top competitions, and Nani’s untamed ingenuity will ensure he continues to catch the eye in the iconic colours of the Turkish giants.
Nani’s move ends an eight-year association with Man United which saw him make 230 appearances in which he scored 41 goals, including plenty of memorable ones such as his first ever goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
After last month’s signing of Danish centre-back Simon Kjaer from French side Lille, Fenerbahce are reportedly also close to signing Manchester United striker Robin van Persie. “I always do the best that I can”.
As far as turning around his career, Nani is on the brink of 30 years old-no longer a young gun-but at Sporting, he witnessed a bit of a reinvigoration.
He won the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League with the Old Trafford club.
Everybody at United would like to wish Nani every future success in his career.
“Fenerbahce are a club I have always known“. Nani unites with fellow Portuguese internationals, Raul Meireles, Bruno Alves and coach Vitor Periera.
He was sent on loan to Sporting last summer as part of the deal to bring in defender Marco Rojo.
