Ann Coulter in Twitter tirade over Republicans’ pitch to Jews
Ann Coulter caused a stir after tweeting about Jews in relation to the GOP debate.
During the Republican presidential debate Wednesday night, Coulter got angry at Republican candidates repeatedly voicing their support of Israel and tweeted “How many f-ing Jews do these people think there are in the United States?”
Coulter attempted to pull back, claiming she was only talking about the candidate’s “pandering” and that she really “likes Jews”.

In a 2007 interview on CNBC’s “The Big Idea”, Coulter told Jewish host Donny Deutsch that she wants her dream America to be completely Christian. Followers called Coulter “anti-Semitic”, and “desperate for attention”, calling her statement “f–ing offensive”.
Greenblatt went on to say that “Ms. Coulter is pandering to the basest of her base”, adding “All decent Americans should reject Ms. Coulter’s rhetoric as simply beyond the pale“. Coulter then asked, before musing that perhaps the candidateswere trying “to suck up to the Evangelicals”. “The U.S.-Israel relationship is both a moral and strategic imperative”.
Her Twitter posts came near the end of 3-hour debate when four of the 11 candidates – former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Statistics indicate that there are 6.8 million Jewish people living in the United States and Twitter users were quick to respond to her comments, branding them as “anti-Semitic”.
