Donald Trump Reacts to Apprentice Replacement!
Donald Trump and NBC had a fallout when Trump announced that he was running for President of the United States. The former California governor is known to have a wide range of business holdings which include restaurants, real estate development, and sports franchises.
Now that Donald Trump is officially out as the host of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice”, Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he’s the man that will replace him in the infamous boardroom.
As host for seven seasons of The Celebrity Apprentice, Trump helped raise more than $15 million for charity, NBC said.
Schwarzenegger issued a statement and also tweeted his delight.
“I can not wait to say “you’re fired” or, ‘you’re terminated”, or, ‘you won’t be back, ‘” the 68-year-old former governor says in the video below.
Schwarzenegger, 68, who left office in 2011, has recently revived his movie career, including starring in another Terminator movie, Terminator Genisys.
Trump, apparently not upset that an immigrant is taking his old job, offered congratulations via Twitter: “He’ll be great & will raise lots of $ for charity”. The show premieres September 22 on Fox.
But once he did launch his campaign, NBC cut ties with Trump, partly due to the candidate’s offensive remarks about Mexican immigrants.
The big question was, who would the Peacock Network hire to replace The Donald on “The Celebrity Apprentice“?
Trump was furious and threatened legal action against NBC. On Monday, Trump turned around and sold the whole thing to entertainment empire WME/IMG.
“The Apprentice” franchise is among the most successful reality formats in TV history, where celebrity contestants work in teams, perform tasks, win challenges and hopefully end with a financially successful result for charity. Mark Burnett, Schwarzenegger, Page Feldman and Eric Van Wagenen are executive producers.
Fans are sure that Schwarzenegger will bring something new to the table.
