Kris Bryant drove a Lyft and quizzed unsuspecting passengers about Kris Bryant
To be fair, Bryant was hard to recognize in his rather dark sunglasses.
How exciting would that be if all of sudden you get in a auto and Kris Bryant happens to be driving around?
But, if you take a Lyft ride in Chicago, be on the lookout for the driver, because it may be Cubs All Star third baseman, Kris Bryant.
Passenger: “I feel like they’re kinda like chess players.“Bryant: “Yeah, chess players”.
Lyft posted a promotional video Friday of the Cubs third baseman going through Chicago as an undercover driver and surprising unsuspecting fans. He is also very good at pretending that he is not Kris Bryant.
One of the best moment in the Bryant video is when he asks a passenger if baseball players are athletes. Then you’ll know that you’ve truly made it. -Long awkward silence- Passenger: “You look like him”.
Bryant: “You heard of me?”
Bryant did a brief stint as a driver recently for the “Undercover Lyft” series and didn’t even get recognized. He’s the leading National League Rookie of the Year candidate with a.274 batting average, 24 home runs and 94 RBIs for the playoff-bound Cubs.
