Powerball numbers for September 16; jackpot increases to $208 million

The top prize is $1,000 a day for life. Saturday’s estimated jackpot is £3.8 million. The number of people purchasing tickets increases dramatically whenever the jackpots cross certain limits.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday, September 19, 2015.

The winning Lotto numbers are: 37, 12, 21, 43, 14 and 22. There have now been 87 straight drawings without a victor since a player won a $3.5 million jackpot February 25. With the first prize being rolled over whenever participants fail to match all the required numbers, the jackpot keeps growing and there is no upper limit. The drawing is at 7:29 p.m. Deadline is 7:08 p.m.

The odds that someone will win the $185 million jackpot on Wednesday night are slim – 1 in 175,223,510.

No one matched five numbers plus the Thunderball but seven matched five numbers scooping £5,000 each. The possibility of purchasing tickets online has led to a significant increase in the number of participants and Internet vendors are contributing to the Powerball’s resurgence. There were no tickets that added the Power Play to win $2 million. Tickets cost $2 each.
