Amanda Seyfried joins Twin Peaks
There are no specifics about the character yet, though the site is reporting that Seyfried will appear in multiple episodes.
Amanda Seyfried is back on TV, and in another murder mystery series.
A rep for Showtime declined comment.
Lynch and his Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost have penned one long script for the series, which Lynch will shoot as a continuous movie before editing down into individual episodes.
It has been nearly a year since the Twin Peaks revival was announced, and yet there’s so little that we know about the TV series from David Lynch, perhaps because that’s how he wants it to be.
Whatever the role may be, it marks something of a return to form for Seyfried, who had early turns on the profoundly Lynchian All My Children and As The World Turns and hasn’t graced the small screen since Big Love ended in 2011.
The revival is set in the present day and is promised to “continue the lore of the original series”.
Seyfried joins confirmed returning stars MacLachlan, Madchen Amick and Dana Ashbrook, Everett McGill and Wendy Robie, as well as possibly a dozen or more familar faces from the 1990-1991 trailblazing show who are still under wraps for the time being. “It became clear it would take more than nine episodes, which we had planned and budgeted for”. Lynch is also directing all episodes. “We are looking to be in great shape”.
