Winds of Winter will come out before 6th season of ‘Game of Thrones’?
A Song of Ice and Fire now spans nearly 20 years over the course of three decades, with A Game of Thrones being published back in 1996, and the most recent – A Dance with Dragons – coming in 2011.
Martin had decided to cut down on all his appearances to Comic-Cons and focus exclusively on Winds of Winter. Martin attributed the delay to his “writer’s block” and to the fact that he was deeply involved in promotional events for the TV series and the previous books of the series.
Bender replied with a succinct “yes” when asked by one of his followers if he had read an unpublished “copy of Book 6 of Game of Thrones to prepare for directing next season’s episodes”. Uncharacteristically, Jack Bender has not made any subsequent comment on the book since then and he was likely prevented from doing so, lest he spills more beans to the public. Bender might have mistaken the sixth season of the series with the sixth book of the series.
Fans can also read an excerpt of the chapter “Alayne” on George R.R. Martin’s blog.
Martin has reportedly opted out of writing scripts for the show in order to finish the book before season six returns on spring next year.
After the series finale of Season 5 of “Game of Thrones” put millions of global fans of the show on edges with plenty of cliffhangers, majority resorted to the internet to look for spoilers and find the answers that they were seriously looking for.
However, knowing Martin, fans shouldn’t get too excited.
