Channel 9 has confirmed that two victims who were injured in a crash at the Coke Zero 400 at the Daytona global Speedway will be represented by attorney Matt Morgan.

As for what’s next, track president Joie Chitwood, III points to the ongoing $400 million overhaul called Daytona Rising, which includes new safety measures. And then just wanted to wave to the fans and let them know I was all good.

Asked what NASCAR will examine as far as video and Dillon’s vehicle, France said all that will be scrutinized.

NBC Sports reported three fans were treated with minor injuries from debris flying into the stands.

“I am just going to be really sore, ” Dillon told NASCAR.com. “We can work at that, and then figure out a way to keep the cars on the ground”. Following his victory, Earnhardt said the crash was “terrifying to watch”.

I slightly disagree with Dillon. We went from an engineering standpoint, right to work, and we’ll do the same here. You are going to have cars running around at 200 miles per hour on a track as big as Daytona. Even with the best drivers in the world, you will have mistakes and mechanical failures. The welfare of the fans and motorsports in general is riding on it, and this can’t happen again.
