Special Events Coordinator for The Alzheimer’s Association, Hailey Krajewski said, “In La Crosse over 2,000 people are affected by this disease, and those are only the ones with the disease”.
More than 5 million people in America are living with Alzheimer’s.
“I know from personal experience just how devastating a disease dementia can be and it can be heart-breaking”, said Denise who lives in East Boldon.
“They all have one motive which is to create a world without dementia”.
Among those who took part was a team from Cardiff law firm Blake Morgan. As a service organization in Southern Utah and southeastern Nevada, they believe in passionately empowering individuals, families and communities with support, education and caregiving.
Researchers have identified a profile of changes that characterizes people who progress towards dementia. Supporting the fundraising efforts of the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society will help provide free classes and educational courses and respite activities to those in need. The new training package that we have developed will equip telephone fundraisers with vital skills to protect the most vulnerable people in society, and additionally help in addressing the broader problem of lack of understanding and awareness of dementia.
