Bills safety Aaron Williams leaves game with neck injury
The afternoon took a somber turn in the third quarter, though, when Bills safety Aaron Williams suffered a neck injury and left the field in an ambulance.
Williams went down hard while trying to stop Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman on Edelman’s second touchdown catch of the game.
Williams is in his fifth season with Buffalo, and has developed into a nice player on the back end.
Several of his team-mates huddled in prayer as medical staff treated him and loaded him into the ambulance called to the sideline.
Initial reports indicate Williams suffered a neck injury, and a scary looking one at that.
We’ll update when there’s more information about Williams’ injury and his status going forward. Rambo has played in 18 games over the course of his career, with a pair of interceptions for Buffalo after he joined the team in 2014.
