Streets of New York run red after night of deadly shootings
Cops are investigating after three men were shot and killed outside of a Brooklyn housing project early Sunday morning.
The three men were gunned down in the courtyard of the Ingersoll Houses at Myrtle Avenue and Fleet Walk at around 1:48 a.m., police said.
The third victim, a 76-year-old named Herbert Brown, was shot in the stomach and taken to New York Methodist Hospital where he died from his injuries.
A man who works in the area said: ‘I just heard a couple gunshots.
About two hours later in The Bronx, gunfire erupted outside 724 E. Tremont Ave., leaving Nestor Suazo, 25, dead and a 34-year-old woman fighting for her life.
Police say 43-year-old Calvin Clinkscales, of Queens, and 39-year-old Lacount Simmons, of Brooklyn, were pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition to the fatalities, three people were wounded at a house party in The Bronx on Saturday night.
Several people were shot, including seven fatally, in separate incidents during a violent weekend in the city, police said.
Their names were not immediately released and no arrests were made.
