Jon Snow hints at his Game of Thrones fate
Kit Harington all but confirmed his future with Game of Thrones in an interview earlier this month. This is the one thing that most fans want to know since the shocking cliffhanger in the season five finale.
For some die-hard fans, the time might be ripe for celebrating as Kit Harington himself seems to have revealed his character’s fate.
After the last episode of season 5 aired, the world literally blew up and entered the denial phase, believing that Jon will come back. Readers of George R.R. Martin’s books are just as confused on the topic, since with this season, the series has finally caught up with the novels. The actor is now 28, according to The Independent, which suggests that he will be around until the end.
In fact, Jon Snow is not only alive but raring to seek revenge.
While Michelle Jaworski tweeted: “HBO is totally gonna shut down Andy Samburg’s HBO Now account after throwing a wrench into their “Jon Snow is dead” position #Emmys”. People mourned Jon, even prayed for his return, others were silent and sure about him emerging again and sites tried gathering audience based on fan theories of how Jon will be resurrected by Melisandre, how he warged into Ghost or how he is Azor Ahai.
Everything that has come out on Jon Snow’s coming back runs counter to all previous efforts by the show runners and cast to dispel the comeback rumors.
The 28-year-old British actor admitted that being on “Game of Thrones” was “a double-edged sword”. He mentioned how it meant turning down great roles because of his filming commitments for Thrones. Snow and Daenerys seemed to have been the only positive and worthy-to-look-up-to leaders, but when Martin, David and Dan decided to stab him to death, nobody reacted well. Many suspect a fight between the Northern Lords will take place in season six, and with Brienne already at Winterfell, it makes sense for her to join in with the Game of Thrones scenes.
