Sarah Palin Extends Her Awfulness To Boy Arrested For Clock “Bomb”
Ahmed, who dreams to attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, told reporters he was “very sad” his teacher thought his clock was a weapon. University of Waterloo President Feridun Hamdullahpur says Ahmed is exactly the kind of kid the university is looking for.
For Palin, initial media reports of Mohamed’s arrest were fishy and school officials were justified in thinking that the ninth grader’s made out of a pencil box was a bomb. You never did. But when a Muslim kid builds a clock, come on by. Civil-rights groups complained that if Ahmed had been a white student, the clock would have been seen as nothing more than an electronic timepiece.
Earlier, the police made a mistake, clearly, wrote Palin, , who announced in June she was pregnant with her second child, adding, But why put more people against them? Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Muslim boy who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to his school, is not returning to his school again.
Ahmed was pulled out of class and eventually escorted from school in handcuffs, yielding a photo that doused online outrage with even more fuel.
Ahmed has been making headlines and supporters are making hashtags such as #IStandWithAhmed and #EngineersForAhmed along with thousands of tweets and responses! The president called his homemade clock “cool” and asked the teen to bring it to the White House.
After being questioned by local police in Irving, TX, Mohamed went on a live interview with Chris Hayes on MSNBC last Wednesday. You may not be as familiar with C.J. Pearson, but if his video blasting President Obama’s handling of the situation continues to spread online, you may soon be. “It was really sad that she took the wrong impression of it”. “The future belongs to people like Ahmed”. “I’m getting all this support from all over the world. It’s what makes America great”.
Mohamed accepted Obama’s invitation and plans to visit the White House in October.
School officials said, even though they knew Ahmed intended to transfer to a new school, they’d happily welcome him back to MacArthur if he wanted.
