Wrexham Assembly Member & Tesco to Host ‘World’s Biggest Coffee’ Mornings
The main event takes place on the morning of September 25 when businesses, schools, groups and organisations will be baking cakes and stirring themselves to raise money over a cuppa to assist people facing cancer.
Past year the charity received an impressive £25,102,796 as a result of coffee morning contributions, which has enabled it to continue supporting cancer patients across the UK. “I think it’s a mark of how much people love this event that every year it gets bigger and bigger”. The countdown is on and we’ve got lots planned to raise vital funds for this very worthy cause.
Coffee mornings are also due to take place at The Sustainability Centre, 53 Windmill Close, Clanfield, and St John’s Church Hall, Rowland’s Castle, on the day. Throughout this time, 10 per cent of the proceeds from Macmillan Coffee Morning products sold in the Foodhall – including a delicious Macmillan Victoria Sandwich, M&S’ famous Colin the Caterpillar Cake and a limited edition World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 25th Anniversary Biscuit Tin – will go to the charity.
Donations of money and raffle prizes are also welcome. Macmillan is an awesome charity, in that it not only provides essential support, but also creates a great sense of community.
A Hartlepool store is gearing up to support a fundraising coffee morning.
