Emmys: Richard Jenkins Was More Impressed with Lady Gaga Than His Award

TONIGHT at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles under sweltering skies, the glitterati glided down the ruby rug for the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The dress featured an architectural detail on the left side of her waist, and revealed a sliver of Gaga’s tattooed back and ribcage.

She said: “It is summery and light and thank goodness, it’s so hot I’m happy I chose a lightweight dress”.

Lady Gaga’s makeup artist, Sarah Nicole Tanno, told People Style, “This was Lady Gaga’s first time at the Emmys so we wanted her look to feel very classic”.

Gaga, who attended Maxwell’s New York Fashion Week debut last week, shared a photo of her designer pal reacting to her look that evening.

The American Horror Story actress ditched the demure black Brandon Maxwell gown she wore for the show and swapped it for a slinky white dress which she teamed with huge puffball sleeves.

Keeping her make-up fresh and simple – and powder free – the 29-year-old opted for a nude lip and a smattering of gold glitter on her eyes.

Stars, they really are just like us – meaning they sometimes get adorably flustered in front of their favorite celebrities. Leading the best way, Lady Gaga shocked fans when she turned up in a demure, understated one-shouldered black gown rather than her normal wacky apparel.
