Navas happy United deal fell through
Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas never wanted to move to Manchester United in the summer, report the Daily Express.
“It was a hard situation, but it’s over now and I’m living in the present”, Navas was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
Navas has been central to this, not always involved but keeping his concentration to make crucial interventions when called upon.
Navas’ influence has been all the more important when one considers Los Blancos have struggled to hit their best scoring form at times this term, most recently grinding out a 1-0 win over Granada on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was close to joining the Premier League side on transfer deadline day with Madrid nearly signing David De Gea in the final minutes of the window but the move broke down due to the paperwork being filed too late.
“Things are going well”.
Navas and Real Madrid return to action against Atlético Bilbao on Wednesday as they look to continue their historic shutout streak.
“Fifteen years later they are still saying it and they accuse me of corrupting assemblies”. “The hard work has been worth it and this is the path that will take us to greater things”. I’m here, with Real Madrid, the manager has faith in me, I’m enjoying my football and I have to try and reach my full potential. I have had the chance to stay and I will give my best.
