Jason Pierre-Paul resolution may require independent doctor, report says
Ohm Youngmisuk has covered the Giants, Jets and the National Football League since 2006.

And two days later, he tweeted, “I can’t think of the last time my index finger got me a sack”. More importantly, he won’t be earning greater than $870,000 for the 2nd straight week. “You need your hands, you need your hands strong”.
“The index finger, I think he can fight through that”, Taylor continued. He may not be able to have the grabbing, but you can still slap, slap and swim, tackle. NFL.com is reporting that the area removed on his thumb is well above the joint and that the middle finger needed stitches after the procedure.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported recently that Pierre-Paul is missing the tip of his thumb.
That still could be Pierre-Paul’s primary objective. But he knows how hard it can be just trying to do daily activities in life with a bad thumb.
“It is what it is”, Taylor said. “You’ve got to play the cards you’re dealt, and then you go from there”.
Despite all his personal flaws, Taylor received a thunderous ovation at MetLife Stadium when he strolled in during halftime. So he won’t pass any judgment on Pierre-Paul suffering the injury in a fireworks accident. I’ve heard people say he’s the next Lawrence Taylor or whatever. Things happened in the right way for this team right here. “Now it’s all about what he’s made of, what his heart is all about, and if he can fight through it and play”. Joining him for the celebration were coach Bill Parcells and several assistant coaches and teammates, including Carl Banks, Howard Cross, Leonard Marshall, Super Bowl XXV MVP Ottis Anderson and quarterback Jeff Hostetler, who took over for the injured Phil Simms and led the Giants to victory over the Bills. “Because hey, I damn sure won’t be here for the 50-year reunion”.
This is also why JPP hasn’t signed his one-year tender. “I don’t really worry about things like that”. “And I think he is – especially with this happening now, I think he’s willing to put in the work”. From 8 [a.m.] to 4 [p.m.], I am going to work hard. I’m going to play the hand out regardless. I’ve done everything to my thumb.
