Presidential Polls 2016: Trump, Fiorina, Carson, Bush Numbers Post-Debate

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina makes a point during the CNN Republican presidential debate on Wednesday. Trump wins that contest as well with 59 percent viewing him unfavorably although he fares better among Republicans than he does with all voters.

Still, the debate’s immediate results were overwhelmingly positive for Fiorina, the only woman in the Republican field.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Fiornia said the debate helped introduce her to more voters, and that she plans to try and capitalize on the her momentum in the weeks ahead. A Voter Gravity flash poll through touchtone phone responses showed Fiorina the leader with 22 percent support, topping Trump’s 18 percent.

“We doubled the size of the company, we quadrupled its top-line growth rate”, Fiorina said during the debate. I would begin building the missile defense program in Poland. “I’d probably send a few thousand more troops into Germany”.

Candidates discussed Planned Parenthood, the Iran Nuclear Deal, and immigration reform during the three hour debate, but certain students on campus feel that other policies should have made the debate. They went after him for his temperament, for his lack of knowledge about foreign policy issues.

Trump also slammed Fiorina for failing to defeat Democratic incumbent Sen.

In fifth place is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, at 9%.

A slim majority (53%) said they are more likely to vote for someone who would send ground troops to fight ISIS in Iraq or Syria.

Of course, both of them have obstacles to overcome: Trump declared corporate bankruptcy four times, mostly on his Atlantic City hotel and gambling operations; Fiorina saw HP’s value to shareholders plummet during her time as CEO and many of her decisions had analysts conclude she was a failure.

“I feel like anybody that gets in that mud in the long term, all you’re doing is helping the opposition”. Asked about potential advisers, he said only that he would be “meeting with people who are terrific people“. “But from my standpoint, I was treated fairly”.

Morning Consult polled Republicans who watched Wednesday night’s debate.

Some political experts predict Carly Fiorina’s strong showing last night may chip away at some of the large poll numbers now enjoyed by other leading “outsiders”, Donald Trump and Dr. Ben Carson. He trolled the Republican debate, making all sorts of snarky comments about them.
