Here’s the first group shot of the new Ghostbusters

Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones star as our new paranormal specialists with Chris Hemsworth manning their phones. The original had somewhat more appeal, but the overall look hasn’t been ruined, luckily. It carries New York Vanity plates that read “ECTO-1” and the array of ghostbusting gear like Ecto goggles, flashing lights, storage for proton packs, siren, PKE meter, and other assorted traps have all been retained.

Update 7/10: Paul Feig is really trying to control the conversation on Ghostbusters 3, revealing to fans photos of the costumes, proton packs, and cars way in advance of an actual trailer.

A report on The Verge said the shot appeared unofficial but seemed “to have been taken on set by a Ghostbusters superfan”.

Well, this is just our first look at Feig’s Ghostbusters, and we’re likely to see more as the movie continues filming in Boston.

The official account for the remake of the 1984 film tweeted the photo with the caption: “Who ya’ gonna call?!” But the cast members’ hair and eyewear are clearly on point, so that kind of makes up for the seemingly incomplete outfit. Ghostbusters is set for release on July 22 next year.
