Connecticut College Students Killed in Plane Crash Upstate
One of the students was a 2015 graduate of St. Luke’s School in New Canaan.
Counselors will be available for students, faculty and staff affected by the news.
The first-year students were identified as Cathryn (Carey) Depuy and Ryan Adams, both 19-years-old and of Ridgefield, Conn., a university spokesman wrote in a statement hours after the rural crash. Head of St. Luke’s School Mark Davis sent a release to the St. Luke’s community concerning Adams’ death. His sister Kelly is now a junior at St. Luke’s.
EATON Two people are dead following a plane crash in Eaton, Sunday afternoon. It happened about 1 p.m. Sunday.
Madison County 911 told the website that an eyewitness called in to report hearing a crash just after noon local time.
Update (2:15 p.m.): The wreckage of a small plane has been located in the area of Old Country road and Stone Bridge Road, dispatchers said. The two had reportedly rented the aircraft from the airport.
However, the Federal Aviation Administration (or FAA) is taking the lead in trying to determine the cause of the plane crash in Morrisville. According to FoxCT, the deceased were both freshmen and enrolled at Colgate University. “I am truly sorry to deliver more heartbreak to the St. Luke’s community”.
