‘View’ Cast Fired After Nurse Comments? Joy Behar, Michelle Collins
“The View” is continuously losing its advertisers after a controversial comment on Monday was delivered by host, Joy Behar directing to Ms Colorado’s monologue.
After such an occurrence, two advertisers for The View – Eggland’s Best and Johnson & Johnson – pulled their advertisements.
“After we made comments about the Miss America broadcast and the talent performance by Miss Colorado, we heard from many of you”, Behar said on the show. Nurses, dressed in scrubs, as Johnson was for her pageant monologue, fill the audience for the show.
I praise Johnson for her bravery, not only in doing something different for the competition, but for her service as a nurse.
Friday, following several days of apologies for offensive comments mocking nurses and the nursing profession, The View wrapped up a rocky week with a segment dedicated to saluting nurses.
Hundreds of nurses have already entered the giveaway, but Tortorice is continuing to get the word out and she looking forward to nurses proudly taking selfies with their prizes.
“It’s actually been a blessing in disguise because so many now are talking about how much we do and how educated we are and how much we care and, really, how serious our job is and how hard we have to work”, Johnson told Oz.
According to its Facebook page, Johnson & Johnson appreciates nurses and disagrees with the comments made on the daytime television show, so it has paused advertising accordingly.
This is the latest hit to the “The View“, which has lost almost 50 percent of its core female demographic of 25- to 54-year-olds this season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Please join us in thanking and celebrating nurses for the critical role they play in our healthcare system”, Snuggle’s said in a statement reported by TMZ. It’s a steep drop since founder Barbara Walters left the show previous year .
