Canada wide warrant issued for woman believed to have abducted her son
A Winnipeg mother and her 12-year-old son have been located a day after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for the woman’s arrest in an alleged abduction.
A missing mother and son who were the subject of a nationwide hunt over the weekend were found safely Sunday afternoon, Winnipeg police said.
Later that evening, police issued the warrant for the mother saying the case was a potential parental abduction. He may be wearing a grey T-shirt with yellow print on the front, with jeans, and white high-top runners.
Charlotte McMahon is described as white, five-foot-four, 120 pounds, with a medium build, multiple tattoos and red shoulder length hair. She may be wearing a tweed brown jacket, long shirt, black tights and dark shoes. She remains in custody.
A tip from the public helped them locate the pair, police said.
