Mariah Carey steps out with boyfriend James Packer

Mariah Carey & new beau James Packer made their red carpet debut on Monday .

Mariah Carey may have had a pretty rough year ever since breaking up with Nick Cannon… but she sure seems happy now.

In June (15) speculation emerged suggesting the 45-year-old songstress began dating the 48-year-old Australian billionaire.

However, she and James were holding hands, which leaves little room to doubt the fact that they’re a couple.

The couple were all smiles as he gently held the small of her back while they posed for pictures.

Rumours are rife things are becoming so serious with James, she is considering having more offspring with the businessman.

Moreover, Parker had been insisting that Mariah should give a lump sum payout of $25 million to Nick, so that he is done with for once and for all, however Mariah is still furious towards Nick and is not ready to compromise even a bit on their financial settlement.

He is supposedly doing everything in his power to literally whisk the singer off her feet.

“It’s all getting to be too much for James…[he] is trying to be a gentleman, but he can’t wait to be free of Mariah and her insane ways”.

“It’s fun”, Carey told ET of the date night, adding that the couple are big fans of Anne Hathaway, who stars with Robert De Niro in the Nancy Meyers film. “They had dinner in the air as the sun was setting over Manhattan, enjoying caviar, champagne and luxury truffles”.

Mariah doesn’t do movie premieres that often, but it seems this unlikely pairing (and obviously the talent behind it) was enough to get her out of the house.
