Amazon Fire HD 10 and HD 8 Tablets Unveiled
All models come with sponsored screensavers for Amazon content, but you can disable them for $15 if you’d like.
Amazon also introduced a new 7-inch Fire tablet for just $50, which has front- and rear-facing cameras, 1 GB of RAM, and a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor – enough power for video watching, light browsing, and answering emails. One of these is On Deck, which automatically keeps your tablet current with popular Prime movies and TV shows as well as Amazon’s original programming. Amazon claims it makes the viewing experience and searching for content that much better. The new Amazon Fire tablet is available immediately with a price set at United States $49.99. The HD 10 starts from 9 and is available in 16GB and 32GB storage options.
The tablet comes in Black, and will be available September 30th.
You can pre-order the 7-Inch Fire and Fire Kids Edition from Amazon.com.
Joining the budget 7-inch Fire are two new models of Kindle Fire HD.
The device sports 2GB of memory for built-in storage and can support up to 1080p and 4K Ultra HD. On Thursday, the online marketplace unveiled six new devices that will begin shipping in the coming weeks, including a fascinating Apple TV competitor. Therefore, the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick get Voice remote thanks to Alexa, and there is a Fire TV Gaming Edition.
Apparently, this was a very inspired move from the retailer, as right now, tablets with a price tag under $100 are one of the most important market.
The firm’s founder Jeff Bezos said: “The team has packed an incredible amount of technology and innovation into a tiny package”. In addition, it has cameras on both sides and the operating system is Fire OS, based on Google’s Android.
