Young Syrian Refugee Carries His Puppy to Greece
In the wake of the current Refugee crisis, the UN Refugee Agency has uploaded a video on September 19 on Facebook sharing the story of a Syrian boy named Aslan.
At euronews we believe in the intelligence of our viewers and we think that the mission of a news channel is to deliver facts without any opinion or bias, so that the viewers can form their own opinion on world events.
Many along the way questioned why he would bring Rose, but Aslan refused to be separated from his puppy.
People from several countries including Austria, Hungary and Holland left comments on the video, offering the teen and his little companion a place to stay or a helping hand. “I’d love to help him out!”
So Aslan has taken his friend on the 500km journey, carrying him in a small cage.
“When forced to flee home because of war”, the organization wrote in its Facebook post.
Aslan, pictured with Rose, said: ‘I love my dog.
‘When forced to flee home because of war, many people would never dream of leaving their pets behind’.
Numerous refugees and migrants reaching Greek islands continue their journey through the Western Balkan route, which is becoming increasingly hard after Hungary closed its border with Serbia and other countries started increasing controls.
