NFL POWER RANKINGS: Where all 32 teams stand going into Week 3
Instead, the Ravens are 0-2 and lots of survivor pool players are done for the year.
Running down the NFL Power Rankings for Week 2 of the season.
New England reigns supreme on top of the power rankings, and for good reason. Again, agree with them or not but after last week’s performance I might take the line against my picks!
What is clear, at least through two weeks, is that the Patriots and Packers seem to be in a league of their own.
Now, the Eagles are 0-2, and the Cowboys, without Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, are 2-0. Forced to start Brandon Weeden, the Cowboys will be missing the majority of their offensive weapons. The Bengals are the big movers at the top of the board, but both Oakland and Jacksonville made some big leaps with well-timed wins.
Another rivalry and divisional game for the Saints in two weeks yet they still won’t get the job done. Tennessee looked to be a force. We might be in the front row watching the end of the Sean Peyton and Drews Brees connection in New Orleans.
ESPN unveiled their Week 3 NFL Power Rankings today and, somewhat unsurprisingly, the New England Patriots are the No. 1 team in the league, according to voters.
Take the Tennessee Titans, for example: they looked like world-beaters in their season opener against Tampa Bay.
Minnesota surprised many this past week with a win over Detroit.
The Patriots cruised to a win over the Bills as Tom Brady threw for 466 yards and three touchdowns. The common trend of the Gronk spike will continue this weekend as the Patriots remain undefeated and extend their lead in the AFC East. Chuck Pagano is already on the hot seat in Indy, so this doesn’t help his cause. Fitzpatrick has been as good (or as not bad) as he needs to be for this team to be successful. Pittsburgh takes this and Bell runs in two touchdowns and gains over 125 yards.
The Cardinals have a two-game lead over the Seahawks in the NFC West.
Arizona went 9-0 past year prior to the Carson Palmer’s ACL injury. Arizona’s defense will have a field day with the Niners if Carlos Hyde is unable to go. Rex Ryan simply does not beat Bill Belichick.
Plain and simple, Chicago looks frightful .
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler leaves the field getting… They are 0-1 in the division, and their one win is a close one against a lackluster Houston Texans team.
The Bears dropped their 2nd in a row at home and now head to Seattle with Jimmy Clausen as their starter.
Pro Football Talk is another that has Chicago bringing up the rear.
Green Bay Packers’ Jayrone Elliott (91) and Datone Jones celebrate…
Marshall, who initially feared he had broken a finger on the winning play, said he targeted the football because he’d seen Charles holding it precariously all night.
Here’s a roundup of all the current power rankings compared to last week.
