Apple Pushes Out Fixed watchOS 2 With Many Update

People who haven’t already installed the older, bugged version of WatchOS 2.0 will see a much larger update than this.

WatchOS 2 is now available to download for the Apple Watch.

On 16 September, it was revealed that WatchOS 2 wasn’t coming out that day after all, which was a big disappointment for Apple Watch users.

All in all I think that the Watch OS 2 was worth waiting for and I am eager to discover all the things that this new and free software- update can offer.

Demand is expected to be high, so there may be a delay.

iOS 9 includes public transport directions in Maps (finally!), which means Siri and Maps on your watch can tell you which train to take, in certain cities.

Connect the iPhone to Wi-Fi and keep it near the Watch before connecting the Apple Watch to power and keeping it on the charger until the update is complete. Yes, in watchOS 2, Apple now allows app developers to incorporate such Watch hardware features as the Digital Crown and the Taptic engine into their apps. The update requires iOS 9 and can be downloaded over-the-air through the Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General – Software Update.

It seems I’m not the only person to have experienced issues upgrading my Apple Watch to watchOS 2. Head over to Reddit, specifically the Apple Watch subreddit thread, where user mvartan is keeping a running list.

With watchOS 2, Apple is hoping to do what it did for the iPhone in 2008: introduce third-party apps, and make it a must-have piece of technology.

9to5Mac recently posted a walkthrough of the new watchOS 2, giving it high praise. While these watch faces don’t display complications (widgets), they do dramatically change the way your Apple Watch looks when you check the time.

Dictating replies to emails through the Apple Watch is now possible, so you don’t need to use your phone to send answers, and you can also accept or decline FaceTime calls. If you set an alarm, you can use the side button to turn it off, or use Digital Crown to snooze it.

The other option is to drop into your Photos app on your Apple Watch. The entry-level Apple Watch Sport smartwatch recently gained two more colours – gold and rose-gold, on top of the black and silver models.

It also brings third-party complications to the Watch.
