David Beckham catches tennis ball during Wimbledon match

Britain’s Jamie Murray ensured at least one Murray brother will be in a final at Wimbledon by winning in the semi-finals of the men’s doubles.

Beckham threw the ball back to chorus of cheers from the crowd.

Scottish left-hander Murray, brother of Andy Murray, paired up with Peers to see off the combination of Jonathan Erlich and Philipp Petzschner 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-2.

For the record, Murray and Peers won the match, providing Australia’s sole finalist of the tournament.

They will play Dutchman Jean-Julien Rojer and Romanian Horia Tecau in the final, and victory would double the size of their cheques.

Doting dad David posted a sweet photo of him and his mini-me as well as shots of the court from his prime vantage point, captioning it: “Wimbledon day with my little man”.

The former Manchester United star attended the game with his mum Sandra who was sitting next to her.

“People come and talk to me because they want to talk about Andy, which is fair enough. They’ve played so many times”.

David responded by writing: “16 years ago today was our special day – 16 years on we have our handsome children…”

Being a pretty cool guy, Beckham successfully managed to do a pretty cool thing whilst watching a match at Wimbledon.

In his column for BBC Sport, Andy wrote: “One person I rarely watch on TV is my brother Jamie. I accept that”, he said.

Jamie, who won the mixed doubles title in 2007, will return to Centre Court for the men’s doubles’ final on Saturday.

Both Judy Murray and her ex- husband, Willie, were in Centre Court to watch their elder son, however.
