Amy Schumer Talks ‘Trainwreck’ Film Directed by Judd Apatow on Comedy
“I’m real, I’m in the house a lot, I am not a wife, but I have had sex with a lot of married people”, she explains.
(Newser) – With her star rising and her provocative, punchy humor generating an is-she-feminist-or-politically-incorrect-or-what media debate, Amy Schumer opened up about her life and attitudes in a CBS News profile.
National Basteball Association star LeBron James (a newcomer to feature movies) and “Saturday Night Live” alum Bill Hader (a newcomer to romantic leads) talked with TODAY’s Matt Lauer on Monday about their mutual foray into uncharted territory with the film.
And Monday, Schumer said that she’d be the next Bachelorette for “a bunch of money”, a better casting process and the artistic license to be herself.
“It’s about everything I’ve expected and more”, James said of his big-screen experience, something he’d dreamed of since childhood. Enough with the earnest speeches about what a great group of guys this is or that it’s so hard to say goodbye!
Next up for Schumer is Trainwreck, her new flick directed by Judd Apatow.
“The movie was actually less nerve-wracking than my show because on my show we have like $5 and we have to shoot three scenes in a day”, she noted.
And aside from being an accomplished standup, the audience learned Schumer is a trained actor; she revealed that she trained for two years at the William Esper Studio in New York. You may or may not see me again. I enjoy acting but I also found I really enjoy writing and directing.
