Terrell Owens has agent ask Cowboys to give him a shot
Assuming that it was just “things said” that drove him out in the first place, the idea of Owens suiting up for the Cowboys again is still pretty hard to process.
Terrell Owens might cure the Dallas Cowboys’ injury woes, especially in the absence of star wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Is Dallas a true contender?
Owens looks great at 41 years old, but he’s five years removed from the National Football League and despite solid traditional numbers (72 catches for 983 yards and nine touchdowns with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010), he wasn’t exactly having a positive impact on the game as a whole.
However, Dallas released Owens in the spring of 2009 amid reports that he was causing dissension in the locker room and was jealous of quarterback Tony Romo’s close relationship with tight end Jason Witten. You know, time has passed, and hopefully they know that I’ve moved on beyond that, and maybe hopefully they have. But for me, it’s all about giving myself an opportunity. “That’s all I ever wanted.” Hm.
Signing with the Cowboys, after donning a Michael Irvin jersey off the field as a member of the Eagles, Owens solidified himself as an antagonist of Philadelphia sports lore.
“A lot of people talk about the Hall of Fame”.
Owens went on the Rich Eisen Show Monday afternoon and claimed that his name had “come up” in discussions of potentially bringing him in.
In an interview with Rich Eisen, Owens said that his presence on the roster of the team would make a difference in their performance despite leaving the Cowboys in 2008, not in the best terms.
“We all know what happened when I was there”. “So for me, if an opportunity arises, then I’ll entertain it. And why wouldn’t I want to go back to somewhere where I know I felt at home”. I was there with some of the guys that are still there.
“I still probably should be playing“, he said.
