Micromax Canvas Spark 2 with Quad-Core Processor, Android Lollipop Launched at
With a price tag of Rs 3,999 and dubbed as the Canvas Spark 2, the smartphone is supposed to be the successor of the previously launched Canvas Spark.
Micromax proved the success with the Canvas Spark and sold over half a million units in less than two months of its launch and is expecting that the sales of Canvas Spark 2 will reach the newer heights in the coming weeks. Currently, smartphone penetration stands at 12% in the country and 3G adoption is also barely 10%, which presents a huge opportunity to upgrade. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and comes with 4GB storage expandable to 32GB.
Micromax also throws in a 5MP rear camera plus a 2MP frontal sensor.

The Canvas Spark 2 is said to be Google certified, runs on Android Lollipop that allows the users to access full suite of Google apps. But, considering the specifications thus far, we feel the Canvas Spark 2 might come equipped with either a 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM. On the connectivity front, there’s Bluetooth 4.0, USB and Wi-Fi. In addition, the smartphone comes preloaded with Firstouch language solution to offer up to 10 Indian languages support.
While, for now the mobile phone can be easily purchased exclusively from snapdeal and as per the sources on September 30 the company will be holding its first flash sale. Users, however, can register on the Snapdeal website starting 10 am on September 23. The smartphone is loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop and houses a 1800mAh battery which has 324 hours of backup on standby mode. This phone will be available in black color only and in the box, one will also get a set of accessories such as charger, data cable, earphones and screen protector.
