Sonny Dykes takes shot at Jameis Winston in praising Jared Goff

The Cougars will look to forget last years 60-59 loss at home against the Golden Bears when they play in two weeks. “I don’t know why that is”.

Until further notice, Jared Goff is best in the West.

So a missed extra point is the difference between 3-0 and 2-1. The Bears are 11th in the Pac-12 in rushing defense, allowing 188.3 yards per game.

Scouting the special teams: Cal has struggled in some respects on special teams.

In his previous two years as starting QB, Goff was reluctant to show outward confidence and speak his mind. The 1948 and 1949 teams both won their school-record-tying first 10 contests. Lasco’s status for the Washington game is unknown. And he can deliver the ball sitting on his back foot down the field. Now the Bears want to take that nonconference success into the Pac-12 season.
