Amanda Seyfried Heads For Twin Peaks
Showtimes” upcoming “Twin Peaks” would be a continuation of the “90s classic. As TV Line reports, there allegedly will be a past character recast, so it’s possible Getty could be filling in for someone else.
The new “Twin Peaks” series will consist of 18 episodes which all are written by co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost.
TV Line’s sources confirmed only that the 29-year-old will play a “pivotal new character”. Getty, on the other hand, may not be taking on the part of a new character but stepping into an existing role.
Getty is best known for Brothers & Sisters, though he also appeared in David Lynch’s film Lost Highway. Both Maclachlan and Lee return for the revival, as do Dana Ashbrook as Bobby Briggs; Sherilyn Fenn as Audrey Horne; Kimmy Robertson as Lucy Moran and Catherine E. Coulson as The Log Lady.
Seyfried has three more movies set to come out this year. She has also been featured on TV shows, such as “Veronica Mars“, “Wildfire“, “All My Children” and “As the World Turns“.
Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, TWIN PEAKS followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer is shockingly murdered. But as filming happens up north, I can’t help but want a few answers to Twin Peaks, which is set to premiere in 2016. While there is no official word on who Amanda Seyfried will play in Twin Peaks, there has been speculation that it could be as the daughter of Coop (Kyle MacLachlan) and Annie (Heather Graham). Twin Peaks will be her first return to television since Big Love ended in 2011.
