Meizu Pro 5 unveiled with 4GB RAM and Exynos 7420 processor
Meizu has launched its new flagship smartphone, the Pro 5, at an event on Wednesday in Beijing, China. Samsung’s Exynos 7420 chipset has found a home under the hood of this new device, which means that the Korean tech giant is starting to become a palpable presence in the silicon market.
Meizu Pro 5 specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, and 2.5D curved glass.
Meizu said it is trying to bring the Pro 5 to India as early as the end of this year, but added certification and other issues may delay it till early next year. The 3GB/32GB version of the Meizu PRO 5 is listed at 2,799 Yuan €393/$438, while the beefier 4GB/64GB Meizu PRO 5 price is set at 3,099 Yuan €435/$485. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 64GB of internal storage. RAM and storage come in at 3GB/32GB or 4GB/64GB, and thankfully you can expand storage with a microSD slot if you feel so inclined. Also, the company has employed the USB Type-C port in its new flagship device along with some amplifier and passive filter to clear audio experience. It will be made available in the country from October 12 onwards at the above mentioned costs.
Talking about the camera, the Meizu Pro 5 sports a 21-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor, and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. You’ll be able to charge from 0 to 60% of the 3,050mAh battery in just 30 minutes. The Pro 5 will launch with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Meizu’s Flyme 5 skin as an overlay.
A few screenshots with the battery usage stats of Meizu Pro 5 was posted by Li Nan on its official Weibo account.
New images of the phone have begun to pop up online, and this is leading many to speculate about what it could be capable of and when it might be hitting stores. The rumored leaks appear to indicate that fans won’t be frustrated with the new Pro 5 handset.
