David Beckham and Kevin Hart star in trailer for new H&M campaign
The Swedish retailer has tapped the comedian to star alongside the 40-year-old soccer star and longtime H&M model in their latest fall 2015 “Modern Essentials” campaign. In order for Hart to prepare himself for the role, he plans on accompanying Beckham in all of his daily activities, to get fully into character.
It’s finally here! When we found out that David Beckham and Kevin Hart would be filming a commercial for H&M together (dressed exactly alike, no less), we couldn’t wait to see the hilarity unfold.
The hilarious video shows Hart moving into Beck’s house, attempting (and failing) to take an ice bath with the sporting legend, as well as mimicking his British accent. “I’ve done a campaign with Kevin Hart and that’s one of the best ones I’ve done, so the kids are excited about things like that”. Hart is clearly extra enthusiastic about the opportunity to portray and study Beckham, as Beckham is clearly not: “How long are you staying?” However, the comedian makes up for it with his chirpy personality and complete disregard for how uncomfortable David feels about having someone try to be him in his own home.
The full range, called Modern Essentials, lands on H&M’s website on September 28.
The clothing brand released a teaser of the video on September 22, in which Beckham is told that Hart wants to play him in a biopic about the sports star. Watch the trailer above.
