Exit-linked star won’t be leaving Man United, says agent
Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo could be set to leave the club in January with Napoli reportedly lining up an offer.
The Argentine defender also had a disruptive pre-season because of his Copa America’s commitments and missed a flight to join the team during their last leg of their pre-season tour in the United States.
Marcos Rojo’s agent has played down speculation that has linked his client with a move away from Manchester United.
Due to that, the defender has failed has not been able to claim a regular spot under manager Louis van Gaal this term and has fallen down the pecking order, in the opening weeks of the season.
The Argentina worldwide is now being deployed at left-back in the absence of the injured Luke Shaw, but appears far more comfortable at the heart of the defence.
And his agent, Carlos Goncalves, has now rubbished rumours of any January departure.
“The player is happy at United and has no intention of leaving the club”.
Our resident Red Devils fans enjoying a pint over on table 45 of the Transfer Tavern are glad that Rojo has stayed, with them all adamant that he will find his feet at Old Trafford!
