False start for Walker after premature Twitter announcement
But first it needs to address some of its biggest problems.
“It’s kind of the awe of having someone so close to you and from a small town to be in that position of running for president”.
Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s Twitter account announced he’s running for president, but the campaign said the tweet wasn’t planned for Friday.
The embarrassing move comes three days before Walker is due to make a “big announcement” at which he will almost certainly announce that he is seeking the Republican nomination.
It was unclear why Walker’s tweet was inadvertently sent.
There is some confusion, however, if the tweets was actually deleted.
It’s no secret that Walker will enter the 2016 presidential race in Wisconsin on Monday afternoon. His political team has been drumming up buzz for his presidential run on his Twitter feed, which has been featuring snippets of his campaign logo all week.
